Steps in the right direction
You might have noticed quite a few changes at Draycott Post Office and Store recently.
As well as a fresh lick of paint, a new shop floor and a wider range of goods in store, we have improved access with a new set of shallower steps and a hand rail.
Hopefully this will make it easier for everyone from our youngest customers to our oldest to come into our friendly village store.
The investment in the interior and access has only been possible thanks to a grant from the Post Office.
Your village subpostmaster Sarah Powlson said: "We are always trying to improve facilities here and we are grateful to the Post Office for its investment in our community branch which not only provides a vital service to Draycott-in-the-Clay and the surrounding area but also to the village of Hanbury with our Tuesday outreach service in the church.
"A Post Office is an important asset for any community and we want to ensure that as many people as possible are able to access the wide range of services we can offer - from withdrawing cash and paying bills, to obtaining holiday money and posting all your letters and parcels."
The store also offers newspaper deliveries and a wide range of convenience store goods and services, including hot drinks, pies and pasties, sandwiches and cakes as well as alcoholic and soft drinks, bread and grocery items.
We are open seven days a week from 5.30am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 6am to noon on Sundays.
